It’s almost Halloween, and I know what you’re thinking: “Sylvie, you’ve only posted two Halloween poop recipes. Is that really all you’ve got? This holiday still has SO much unexplored potential!”. And I’m here to tell you – I know. I know. But I’ve been busy. I’ve got other things to do than post a poop recipe every day. Busy doing what you’re wondering? Busy bakin’ some Paleo Bat Poop, that’s what! Bazinga! (OMG I have been wanting to use that word for SO LONG!) Of COURSE I have another Halloween poop recipe for you. Really, you think I’d let y’all down like that? (On a side note, I’ve also been busy ushering in a movement of Canadians saying “y’all”. […]
Have I Got a Poop Recipe For You: Paleo Unicorn Poop Chews
Nope, my blog didn’t get hacked. I really do have a Paleo Unicorn Poop Recipe here for you today. Before you either a) click away or b) have me locked up, I need to tell you that these are chewy little treats and not real unicorn turds. Sorry, but if I came across some of those, I’d be heading for the Smithsonian, not the keyboard. What’s more, they are gluten free, grain free, dairy free, paleo goodies. Why? Because that’s how I roll. Well today anyway. So let me back up a little, because I’m sure a lot of you are wondering why on earth I’m writing about this. Ok, I’m sure no one is terribly surprised, but it’s kind […]
Simple Living: Crazy times with cloth diapers

It would be scary to see where the conversation would go if it wasn’t mealtime. Since diapers are a big part of my life these days, I’m going to be doing a whole three-part series on them this week. I’ll share some practical things I’ve learned and what kind of diaper stuff I love and don’t love so much, but for today, I thought I might just share my experience for those who came here hoping for some entertaining stories about poop. (In my world, stories about poop are always entertaining!) The magical land of […]
A funny that’s just like me!
An update from Cheerio la la land Today has shaped up to be quite an awesome day. My cup of coffee was waiting for me first thing, prepared just the way I like it (courtesy of the Acadian and his mad coffee-brewing skills). I indulged in a spur of the moment bike ride in the sunshine to visit Mr. Swan (not to be confused with Ms.Swan) at High Park. And the highlight – an afternoon spent lunching, chatting and relaxing at the salt baths with two lovely ladies that I hadn’t seen in far too long. Yes – didn’t you know? This is how all ranting aspiring writers live their lives. Well this one anyway. For today. I think […]
