Coconut Chai Paleo Breakfast Bars

Coconut Chai Paleo Breakfast Bars

There is something about chai that is just so comforting, especially in the morning when you want to ease gently into your day with some rich, warm flavors. But having to pick chai tea over coffee? Nonsense! Hey, this girl’s got priorities! So I decided to try blending those amazing flavors into a paleo breakfast bar. The result? Coffee and chai are happily co-existing in my life! The chai spice blend used to be a bit of a mystery to me – something magical that came inside a teabag, but it really is quite simple to get those flavors with a few spices that are likely sitting in your cupboard. A bit of cardamom, allspice, cinnamon, cloves and ginger and […]

Easy Freezer Recipes: Paleo Lemon Coconut Breakfast Bars

It has been a super busy time at our house since I last posted! Between my husband releasing his album and me launching my company, Eclair Lips (I make natural dessert-inspired lip balm – come check it out!), it feels like we’ve barely had a moment to soak it all in! It’s during times like these that I’m really thankful to have my freezer stocked with tonnes of meals so that we don’t have to spend much time in the kitchen to keep everyone fed. And the Paleo Lemon Coconut Breakfast Bars that I’m sharing with you today are one of my favorite easy freezer recipes not only as a quick grab-n-go in the morning, but a great little treat for […]

Easy Freezer Recipes: Paleo Chocolate Zucchini Breakfast Bars

When you spend your days at home with 2 kids, you need to get your jollies somehow. Want to know what my guilty pleasure is? I hide stuff. Like veggies. Like the zucchini in these Chocolate Zucchini Breakfast Bars. Yup, I fool everyone in my family into eating veggies with their chocolate when I make those – one of my signature easy freezer recipes that I want to share with you today. Ok, so they would probably eat them even if they knew, but I still keep it as my little secret. It’s a lot more exciting for me like that. Years and years ago, a good friend gave me a recipe for chocolate zucchini cake and it was good. […]

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Popovers

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Popovers

Hi. I am Candi from A Day in Candiland and I am excited to be here today with all of Sylvie’s readers. Most of us are really into fall foods right now, and they are some of my favorites. One of my favorite flavors for dessert recipes this time of year is pumpkin desserts. I could eat Pumpkin pie all year long. I made a spin off of it called Pumpkin Cream Cheese Popovers. They are warm and gooey and taste oh so pumpkiny. They are really simple to make and the cream cheese topping adds just enough sweetness to it. These would be great for breakfast or for dessert. They would also be a nice treat for a holiday party. They […]

Not so scary DIY Glow in the Dark Ghost Window Clings

Store bought Halloween decorations can be scary for little ones.  So we make these easy Halloween kids crafts to decorate our house! Window clings are easy and fun to make.   All you need is wax paper Glow in the Dark puffy paint a sharpie and a paintbrush For this easy Ghost first I drew a Ghost free hand with the sharpie.  (You really can’t get much easier than a Ghost shape!)   Then I used the sharpie to draw in eye holes and a mouth hole. I liberally squirted Glow in the Dark 3D Dimensional Paint (aka puffy paint) inside the ghost outline.  On previous window clings, I used different methods to spread the paint.  On the Jack O’Lantern […]

Poop Recipe: Paleo Witch Poop Nuggets

Halloween is pretty awesome. I mean, costumes, wigs, creepy decorations, severed fingers and fake blood. Oh, and the treats! It’s also the one time where people are encouraged to be as creative and often as gross as possible. So in the spirit of Halloween and all the weird stuff that comes with it, I have a very special poop recipe to share with you today – my Paleo Witch Poop Nugget Recipe. For starters, it’s not real poop.  Sorry, I know I’ve done a few poop recipes before (like this one and this one, and if you’re still hanging around after those it is waaaaay too late to start turning up your nose now!) but I feel like I need […]
